SwetsWise adds further valuable reporting, charting and claiming functionalities with Release 5.4

Swets announced earlier today the successful launch and implementation of SwetsWise Release 5.4, the latest technical update to its pioneering portfolio of products and services. This latest update introduces a further wave of reporting, charting and claiming a number of functionalities into SwetsWise services, amongst a host of other technical updates and improvements.

The main features added in to SwetsWise Release 5.4 are:

Additional charting / reporting options and expanded SUSHI support in SwetsWise Selection Support
SwetsWise Selection Support is a sophisticated decision support solution designed to help librarians and other information professionals make better informed decisions about their electronic resources. Release 5.4 adds several new charts for customers to use as possible reporting options, namely:

• Year to date price per use - Top 50 publishers / collection platforms (bar chart)
• Total monthly usage over years (bar chart)
• Year To Date Usage - Top 10 publishers / collection platforms (pie chart)
• Usage of years - Top 20 publishers / collection platforms (bar chart)

Additionally, Release 5.4 implements further support for the SUSHI protocol and its reporting capabilities by giving customers the option to exclude from their titles with no data and reports by adding two new COUNTER compliant reports - COUNTER Journal Report 1a and COUNTER Journal Report 3 - to the list of available options. Collecting usage reports using SUSHI can lead to even higher data quality and possibly even lower processing costs. Customers will be requested to provide ramp access for both SUSHI collection details and website collection of usage reports.

An expansion of SwetsWise's Shibboleth Federation Framework
In Swets' SwetsWise commitment to making as accessible as possible, additional support for the growing Shibboleth authentication standard has been added with Release 5.4. SwetsWise now supports access from any member institution of the Dutch Germanwings and Access Management Federations.

New data formats included in SwetsWise Metadata
Release 5.4 makes the ONIX SRN Content Description Item message format available for use within SwetsWise Metadata. SwetsWise Metadata helps libraries to populate their indexed search systems and / or give them the opportunity to mirror their holdings in their library system. With six message formats available for use, SwetsWise Metadata can support customers who have a broad range of formats and its extensive catalog covers more than 20.000 of the industry's leading publications and includes articles about 26.5 million, making it the largest collection of Information Table Of Contents available in the market.

A complete list of all the features, functionalities and technical updates included in SwetsWise Release 5.4 has been made available for customers inside the SwetsWise platform.
