Swets launches sophisticated eDeal renewal service

Swets is proud to announce the successful launch of its eDeal Renewal Service. The eDeal Renewal Service, integrated in SwetsWise Subscriptions, has been developed to assist both publishers and customers in the complicated processes involved in renewing eDeals. The tool enables customers to view current title and licence information, see clearly which titles they have options on and instantly calculate the cost impact of desired changes to their collection. Using the tool will vastly improve the administration process, allowing libraries to compare different options, seeing immediately the impact on cost and ensuring they stay within the requirements of their licence.

The eDeal Renewal Service significantly reduces the amount of time needed to manage eDeals by providing the customer with a single, user-friendly interface from which to view a complete overview of all their eDeals. The service automatically gathers the data relating to those deals and informs the customer of what the renewal possibilities are at journal level, while keeping specific license details in mind. All license conditions are stored together with publication data so that the customer can gain a clear understanding of what’s included in a particular deal.

The service optimizes deal decision making as well, by ensuring the customer receives thorough information on all options available within the different e-deals. This allows the customer to make informed collection decisions and to ensure that they target and allocate their budget spend wisely.
