Chinese university consortium chooses Swets as eAccess partner.

Swets is proud to announce that it has recently signed an exclusive three year contract with the prestigious Chinese JALIS consortium for the delivery and support of a full eAccess solution for the universities in the Jiangsu province.

Mr. Hong Xiuping of JALIS said, “After years of adding new e-content, our focus has turned from content acquisition to providing our end-users with improved access. Swets will provide a suite of SwetsWise eAccess services to all JALIS member institutions that will give their end-users an efficient and intuitive solution for searching, browzing and accessing their catalogue of titles. With direct links to full content, this tailor-made suite of services will allow end-users to get to the information they need in the most straightforward and hassle free manner.

Let by the Ministry of Education of the Jiangsu Province, JALIS' main responsibilities are to integrate and organize the Jiangsu universities' resources and to build a digital library for the higher education institutions of Jiangsu Province by using advanced new technologies. With the help of such digital library, the academic e-contents and resources can be shared, used, and developed by all universities in the province. In addition, the libraries also support the faculty members and students by providing them access to a variety of academic resources.

The Management Center of JALIS is in the Library of Nanjing University and the director of the Management Center is Mr. Hong Xiuping who is also the Director of the Library of Nanjing University.
