SwetsWise is moving away from Internet Explorer 6
Our SwetsWise usage statistics have shown that the usage of IE6 has dropped significantly over the last 12 months. More and more SwetsWise users have upgraded to newer versions of Internet Explorer, like IE7 or IE8 or have moved to other browsers such as Firefox and Google Chrome. Internet Explorer 8, for example, offers improvements in speed, security and reliability as well as new features designed for the way people use the web.
Microsoft, the makers of IE, are actively recommending users to upgrade IE6 browsers to a higher version and they themselves are now offering limited support for this version. IE6 has developed a reputation for being out-dated and not adhering to modern-day web standards. It is for these reasons that we have decided to discontinue SwetsWise support for IE6. Other large companies such as Google and Facebook have also started phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6 so that users can make the most of their online services.
It is important to note that discontinued support does not mean that you will not be able to access SwetsWise with IE6. Nor does it mean that any SwetsWise functionality would work incorrectly. What it means is that our software testers will no longer test new or updated SwetsWise functionality on IE 6.
Swets recommends that you upgrade to the latest version of IE or other browser. We will continue to support IE7 and higher, along with Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and higher.
